Giant’s Causeway Sunrise | NSW

There’s no experience like truly getting to watch an amazing sunrise by the ocean. The feeling of salt water brushing your face, hearing the power of the waves crashing into the rocks and the first touch of the suns warmth hitting your skin.

As one of only two places in the world, the Giant’s Causeway at Fingal Head is formed by volcanic lava pushing up through the ocean which created the hexagonal stacks when it cooled from the outside, in.

Derived from a myth in Scotland, the name Fingal Head is a Scottish hero who was involved in the story of creation of the Fingal Cave and Giant’s Causeway in Ireland. However, the traditional owners of the land refer to the causeway as “Booninybah” which means home of the giant echidna.

Whichever story you choose to believe, this is a spectacular location to watch the sunrise.
