By definition, time-lapse photography is a technique whereby the frequency at which film frames are captured (the frame rate) is much lower than that used to view the sequence. When played at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing.
What it really is, is a way for businesses, film makers and advertisers to create unique and dynamic sequences of images that offer visual appeal not achievable in many other standards of video or video production.
Time-lapse photography is going to show a destination, experience or event from a unique visual angle not achievable through other forms of media.
If there’s a location or time period you want to promote, then time-lapse gives a new perspective over regular video, which can sometimes be limiting in terms of showcasing the natural beauty or flourishing business of tourism destinations.
You get to see change happen over time. Whether this is a sunset with glorious colours in the sky, the Milky Way rising or a restaurant flourishing with happy customers coming and going.
I look forward to collaborating on your next project.
